John 11:6

John 11:6 Yet when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days.

Dear Jesus, you waited two days before visiting Lazarus. By the time you arrived, he was dead. People had to wonder, “Why did you wait? Why didn’t you come right away? Why did you let him die?” The answer: so that you may be glorified through the miracle of raising Lazarus from the dead. O Lord, from my lowly perspective I sometimes ask those “why” questions when you allow terrible things to happen. But like back then, it’s true today that you always have a clear purpose and plan – it’s for my good and your good! May I draw strength and comfort from this truth in all circumstances in life. Amen.
