1 Peter 1:22-23

1 Peter 1:22-23 …love one another deeply, from the heart. For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

Lord God, there are times in my life when my workload gets to such a level that I forget these words.  I get tunnel vision – seeing only what needs to get done in and around me and feeling the stress that comes with it.  In the process, I view people like they’re problems and the cause of my stress, rather than viewing them as objects of your love.  Forgive me for this, Lord.  Remind me of who I am: an object of your love one who has been reborn through your Word and the Spirit.  As a new creation, your Spirit lives in me – cleansing me, purifying me, and fully equipping me to deal with the workload that I have.  Remembering this today, I look forward to dealing with the expected and unexpected tasks of the day in a loving, God-pleasing, confident way.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
