Isaiah 43:25

Isaiah 43:25 “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.”

O Lord, how I wish I could delete every file of sin from my memory. When I open up those files thinking of specific things I’ve done wrong, feelings of guilt and shame resurface.  There are some things I can’t seem to forget.  Lord, when these sins resurface lead me to the cross of Jesus Christ.  There he suffered the punishment of my sins in my place.  There he deleted all my sins by covering them up with his blood.  As far as you are concerned, my sins have been deleted from your memory.  Help me grow in my ability to also forgive and forget.  When I’m tempted to hold something against someone else, remind me of how you treat me.  Thank you for being ‘forget’ful!  In Jesus’ name I ask this.  Amen.
