Job 42:10 After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before.
Dear Lord, there are many moments in my life when I feel desperate and out of control. I try to look into the future and I’m troubled by how bleak and dreary it appears. Just like Job, eventually I throw up arms in frustration and attack you with a barrage of judgmental questions. It never fails that I lower my head in embarrassment for once again doubting you. So thank you for always telling me “I told you so” with perfect love and patient instruction. I trust you will wisely fill my life with these powerful words at the appropriate time. Help me during those moments when I’m tempted to reload my quiver of questions. Train me to depend on your Word for daily conditioning and strength. In the manger of Bethlehem and on the cross of Calvary you have proven how true those words really are—“I told you so!” Thank you for keeping your promises. Amen.
