Psalm 103:2 Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.
Lord, just to know you and your kindness gives me reason to praise you. That is what King David meant when he said “all his benefits”. Knowing you means knowing your divine kindness even though I do little if anything to deserve your warm embrace. Knowing you means knowing your generosity of sacrificing your own Son for the sake of sin-sick souls. On top of all this, you give me daily blessings. Only because of your kindness and generosity am I able to lay my head on the pillow at night, relying on your never-ending care and your eyes wide open, watching over me. Help me praise you with humble devotion and joyful service in response to all your kindness and generosity. I thank you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
