James 1:5-6

James 1:5-6  If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

LORD God, Heavenly Father, you are source of every good and perfect gift.  There is certainly nothing that I lack when it comes to the items I need for my personal care.  In fact you cause my cup of blessings to overflow even when I fail to call upon you in prayer.  I humbly confess that I do lack some things. I lack confidence in your promises.  I lack discipline in taking more time in my busy schedule to chat with you in prayer.  Where I lack, though, you provide.  You are patient and forgive me. I am grateful for your bountiful love and mercy; your patience and forgiveness.  Instill in me wisdom that I might make better use of our one-on-one line of communication that was established by Jesus.  Make me persistent and bold in my requests trusting that you will answer me according to your will.  You are so wonderful, heavenly Father, because you still love me.  Thank you!
