Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Dear Jesus, it’s good to be filled with remorse and regret when I sin, but it’s wrong to fail to take comfort in your forgiveness. Yet I do that when I continue to beat myself up and condemn myself for my sins. It’s as though I’m surprised at myself. I say, “I should’ve known better! I, of all people, never should’ve done that!” But I shouldn’t be surprised. I’m sinful – corrupt to the core – deserving of your condemnation. But you were condemned to death for me for my every sin. I don’t need to condemn myself or beat myself up. You did that for me. Always lead me turn to you and trust that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. In your name I pray. Amen.
