Isaiah 61:10 I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
“What do you see in me?” At the end of a day I often have this question for you, Lord. My actions are more than just a little rough around the edges for a Christian. Even when I am able to hide my less-than-loving thoughts behind a fake smile or a “That’s okay” response, I can’t hide from my conscience, I can’t hide from you. I look in the mirror of your Law and see some ugly, sinful things. Yet you see me differently. By your grace you have dressed me in Jesus’ clothes of holiness in preparation for the heavenly wedding celebration. Through faith you have made me shine with perfection! May these new clothes sparkle today by all the things I say and do that honor you! Amen.
