2 Peter 3:9

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

O Lord, there’s that person who really tests my patience. It seems that everything they do only makes it more difficult to love them and be patient with them. When my patience wears thin, help me remember your patience with me. For my life is a seamless cycle of sin. No sooner do I ask for forgiveness for a particular sin and I’m doing it again. How impatient you must get with me! At any time you would be justified in casting me from your presence forever. But you don’t. You are patient with me daily forgiving me by the merits of Christ Jesus. May your patience with me help me to be more patient with others. Amen.
