Isaiah 12:1-2

PRAYER

Isaiah 12:1-2 I will praise you, O LORD. Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you have comforted me. Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.

PRAYER:

The bottom line, O Lord, is that I deserve the full force of your anger due to my sins. The bottom line, O Lord, is that I could never withstand the force of your anger. But THE bottom line is that you turned your anger from me and directed it toward your Son. THE bottom line is that he took your anger on himself; he withstood and overcame that anger by his life, death, and resurrection. THE bottom line is that you forgive me; you withhold your anger from me; my salvation is won! Because of THE bottom line, I have every reason to trust you, to praise you, to live my life for you every day. Thank you for THE bottom line, amen.
