Jeremiah 26:3 Perhaps they will listen and each will turn from his evil way. Then I will relent and not bring on them the disaster I was planning because of the evil they have done.
O Lord, grant me your patience. For sometimes I think to myself, “How many times do I have to say it…How many times do I have to encourage them…How many times does it have to happen before they finally get it!?” My patience wears thin. I grow frustrated and upset. But look at your incredible patience! For generations your people rebelled against you. Yet you were patient with them. You wanted to relent. My repeated offenses give you countless reasons to grow impatience with me and bring disaster on me. But you relent by showing me mercy day after day. May your patience with me lead me to be patience with all others. In Jesus’ name I ask this. Amen.
